Ahead of the South Australia state elections, we’ve created an election explainer to clearly outline where each political party stands on issues related to alternative first responders and community safety.
We gathered information from each of the party websites to find that very few had courageous policy and commitments in the alternative first responder space. We know that alternative first responders deliver true community safety. We will continue to advocate until we see alternative first responders placed on the agenda for future elections to come and for the next government to follow.
Pre-polling starts on March 14th, 2026, and polling day will fall on March 21st, 2026. We hope this explainer helps you make informed decisions at the ballot box. If you think alternative first responders are an election issue, we would love to hear from you.
